Toss expands FacePay offline payment trials with Youngpoong Bookstore

Viva Republica, the operator of South Korean fintech app Toss, is launching a trial event for its facial recognition payment service FacePay. Toss will run a \"FacePay on the Road\" book picnic event with Youngpoong Bookstore at Seoul Forest, where the 2026 Seoul International Garden Show is being held. Visitors can pay 100 won via FacePay to rent a kit, with the event running through May 31 and targeting 1,000 people by reservation.

Superfast to invest 11.1 billion won to spot indie games, launch \'super IP\' push

Superfast will deploy 11.1 billion won to discover next-generation indie games and invest in and publish selected developers, the company said on May 18. It aims to become an IP-focused cultural company by expanding game intellectual property into content such as webtoons, fashion and offline spaces. Superfast will hold its first demo day in late June and run it as an on-site platform for investment reviews and publishing talks.

SKT revamps T Factory Seongsu, to showcase data centre exhibition

SK Telecom said on Thursday it has revamped its T Factory Seongsu brand experience space and will introduce a new exhibition, the \"Data Center Series\". The renovated venue includes a new cafe-style \"T Factory Lounge\" offering one free drink to SKT customers and one companion. The space will also provide free baggage storage and hands-on content such as photo booths, phone strap making and charging services.
