DB Financial Investment will participate as the main title sponsor of Ethereum Korea One, an Ethereum flagship conference in Seoul. At the event, it will introduce the status of its token securities (STO) and real-world assets (RWA) businesses and seek to expand cooperation with the global Ethereum ecosystem.

DB Financial Investment said on Monday it will participate as the main title sponsor of Ethereum Korea One, to be held on Aug. 28-29.

The event is hosted by the Ethereum Korea Consortium. The first day on Aug. 28 will be held at Conrad Seoul in Yeouido for banks, asset managers, securities firms and policy officials. The second day on Aug. 29 will be held at Seoul Forest Informal Square in Seongsu-dong for general participants through pre-registration.

DB Financial Investment will be represented by Chief Executive Officer Bongseok Kwak (곽봉석), Chief Financial Officer Hyunil Jang (장현일) and Digital Asset Business Team Head Jusik Lee (이주식).

On the first day, Kwak will deliver the keynote congratulatory address. Lee will participate as a panel presenter to introduce the status of the company’s STO and RWA business initiatives. On the second day, Jang is scheduled to appear as a panel presenter.

DB Financial Investment is expanding its digital asset business centered on STOs and RWAs.

In July, it signed a memorandum of understanding with the Optimism Foundation, an Ethereum layer-2 network, in New York to explore a Jeju-focused STO and RWA business and global cooperation models.

Based on that, it is pursuing platform development using Jeju smart farms and livestock assets, and intellectual property rights in K-content, as underlying assets.

DB Financial Investment is also reviewing ways to expand underlying assets identified in South Korea into global markets. It plans to use its participation in the event to expand its cooperation network with Ethereum-based institutions in and outside South Korea, including the Optimism Foundation.

It aims in particular to strengthen underwriting competitiveness in domestic and overseas STO underlying asset markets by combining Optimism’s blockchain infrastructure with DB Financial Investment’s traditional finance underwriting and arranging capabilities.
