Musinsa said on Jan. 12 it is fully launching the "Seoul Forest project" with Seongdong district to develop the area around Seoul Forest into a K-fashion specialised street.

Musinsa opened fashion select shop FR8IGHT as the project’s first store. The site at 19 Wangsimni-ro 5-gil had been left vacant for three years since 2023, and has been remade into a fashion-focused hub through the project, it said.

FR8IGHT will operate as an antenna shop that changes its space each season, centred on contemporary brands Eastlogue and Uneffected.

Starting with the first store, Musinsa will sequentially introduce offline stores for about 20 fashion and beauty brands by the first half of 2026. It plans to foster the area around Seoul Forest’s Atelier-gil as a "K-fashion cluster".

The project is significant as a commercial district regeneration model based on public-private cooperation. Musinsa signed a coexistence agreement last November with Seongdong district’s mutual cooperation residents’ consultative body and has pushed to expand domestic designer brands’ offline touchpoints.

A Musinsa official said the goal is to provide brands with stable offline bases and consumers with a high-quality fashion experience. The official said Musinsa will contribute to revitalising the fashion specialised street through the Seoul Forest project.
