Science ministry seeks universities for stipend programme for science and engineering graduate students

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT said on June 11 it will accept applications through June 20 from universities seeking to join its science and engineering graduate stipend programme in the second half of this year. The programme links government support to student stipends paid through university research and development projects and guarantees at least 800,000 won a month for master’s students and 1.1 million won for doctoral students. The ministry said 43 universities have joined so far, benefiting about 52,000 graduate students.
