Separately from the moves by OpenAI and Anthropic, the landscape around open-source AI continues to expand. In particular, interest and expectations for the open-source AI ecosystem appear to be rising further after Nvidia officially announced it would acquire open-source AI model-sharing platform Hugging Face for $12.9 billion.

Other moves by companies at home and abroad around AI were also compiled.

Anthropic unveiled 'Blueprint', which supports building Claude-based commerce agents. According to Anthropic, many retailers, marketplaces, e-commerce platforms and travel companies worldwide are building shopping agents with Claude.

Google's AI research organization unveiled Gemini 3.8 Flash, a new model that significantly boosts coding capabilities. In comparative tests using Google's in-house coding tool Jetski, engineers were reported to have preferred the model over Anthropic's Opus model. Google introduced interactive AI voice features in Gmail, Google Docs and Google Keep. Users can check inboxes and documents through natural-language questions and dictation, and perform tasks such as drafting and organizing notes. Google will also add its AI image creation and editing tool, 'Google Fix', to Google Workspace.

Perplexity unveiled 'Hybrid Compute', which keeps sensitive information on Mac devices and splits remaining work with cloud AI.

Meta will switch its internal communication tool from Google Chat to Slack. It cited that Slack is better for using AI agents. Adobe will support using its apps directly in Slack by linking with Slackbot, including Firefly, Adobe Express, Photoshop, Premiere, Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, Stock and Lightroom.

OpenClo 2.0, an open-source AI agent tool, was unveiled. The 2.0 release is the first major version update since OpenAI recruited OpenClo developer Peter Steinberger (피터 슈타인베르거).

Customer experience (CX) platform company Genesys will launch new cooperation and expand existing cooperation with Adobe, AWS, Deepgram, ElevenLabs, Meta, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Sierra. Through the cooperation, companies can coordinate AI agents, employees and work processes through Genesys Cloud while maintaining connections to existing enterprise technologies.

Megazone will partner with Hanmi Science to jointly pursue overall tasks, including identifying AX-based work innovation projects, cooperation to strengthen digital transformation capabilities, and other AI and digital innovation tasks. Global voice AI company ElevenLabs is pushing to establish data residency in South Korea. A specific timeline has not been set. Notion will support building a foundation for research knowledge management and AI use at CJ CheilJedang's Technology and Materials Research Institute. The institute plans to accumulate and manage in Notion information generated during the research process, including research background, discussions and decision-making, in addition to its existing laboratory information management system (LIMS).

Industry moves to apply AI to customer consultations are also active. Kyobo DTS will work with contact-solution specialist Spect to introduce ConnectOne, an AI-based integrated customer consultation service that combines AI and corporate data. A-cloud-based contact center (CCaaS) specialist MatrixCloud introduced ElevenLabs' ElevenAgent and built an AI contact center (AICC) consultation environment.

Nol Universe on the 3rd disclosed key achievements in AI transformation (AX) related to software development. Comparing development organization performance indicators over the past three months with the same period a year earlier, code volume written per developer rose 71%, and the time from writing code to reflecting it in actual services was cut by more than half. Synthetic consumer technology AI startup Intellicia (인텔리시아) raised 3.4 billion won in a pre-Series A round. Reasoning AI agent developer Turing raised 7.0 billion won in a Series B round. With the investment, Turing will expand beyond its existing AI agents specialized for science and engineering to an AI service for all university students worldwide regardless of major. MachinaRocks presented a vision of building fully autonomous factories with no human intervention at domestic manufacturing sites by 2028.
