AI Strategy Committee shifts to project-based work, steps up AIDC, defence AX, AI security and standardisation

South Korea\'s National AI Strategy Committee set a goal for its second year of positioning the country as an irreplaceable core player in the global AI supply chain and a trusted partner. It plans to pursue tasks including national strategic industrialisation of AI data centres, industry and defence AX, and AI security and standardisation, while shifting its operations from subcommittee-led work to project-based execution. It also aims to focus on implementation and performance management as the cross-government AI budget rises.

Ridi named official partner in Google\'s Trusted Copyright Removal Program

Ridi said on Tuesday it has been selected as an official partner in Google’s global intellectual property protection program, the Trusted Copyright Removal Program (TCRP). The program grants partner status after reviewing performance and operating systems in responding to illegal content distribution. Ridi said its AI-based monitoring boosted monthly monitored works and daily reports, with an average blocking rate near 90 percent. It has removed 113 million illegal items and estimated prevented damage at about 1 trillion won.

Lee Hae-min says she will be control tower linking national AI strategy to industry and public services

Lee Hae-min (이해민), a lawmaker from the Rebuilding Korea Party, said she will serve as a control tower to link South Korea\'s national AI strategy to industrial innovation and service changes the public can feel. She made the remarks on Facebook after the presidential office announced personnel appointments. Lee, an AI and IT specialist with experience in industry and politics, said AI policy must move from declarations to execution and results.
