Apple Intelligence to launch in China in December after clearing regulatory hurdles

Apple is preparing to launch its on-device AI service, Apple Intelligence, in mainland China in December, Bloomberg News reported on Oct. 15. China is one of Apple\'s most important markets, and the company is set for a China rollout two years after launching the service in most countries, including the United States. Apple had to complete local approvals and work with a local partner. China also approved the service in July under generative AI rules.

Google unveils Playground to build browser games with text, no coding

Google has unveiled Playground, an AI platform that allows users to create browser games using only text prompts without coding. Users can choose genres or start from a blank project and describe rules, characters, environments and visual styles in natural language, then refine physics, rules and graphics through dialogue. The platform supports 2D and 3D, single- and multiplayer games, image uploads, sharing and public gallery publishing, and will later link to Unity Spark.

What changes in Apple Notes with iOS 27

Apple is enhancing the Notes app in iOS 27 with new tools for organizing and navigating long notes. The update adds divider lines and supports links that jump to headings or subheadings within the same note. Siri AI integration is expanded to create notes, add content and insert answers directly, including to specific notes. Markdown support is broadened with automatic formatting on paste and a new copy-as-Markdown option. The app also gets UI changes and updated icons, including shared folder indicators.
