MSIT breaks ground on Songpa ICT security cluster to concentrate radio wave and information security agencies

South Korea will develop the Central Radio Management Office site in Seoul’s Songpa district into an ICT security cluster bringing together radio wave and information security agencies and private facilities. The Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Asset Management Corp held a groundbreaking ceremony for the project’s first phase on Aug. 25. Phase one will build a new Central Radio Management Office building and a radio wave testing facility, with completion targeted for the first half of 2029.

Financial authorities and industry representatives stressed the need to consider redemption, reserve assets and trust, and to develop systems for exchange, circulation and settlement.

Apple to overhaul iOS 27 lock screen with AI wallpapers, clock and widgets

Apple is expanding iPhone lock-screen customisation in iOS 27, adding photo auto-expansion, AI wallpaper generation, adjustable clock placement and the ability to hide the Now Playing widget, IT outlet 9to5Mac reported. iOS 27 adds Apple Intelligence-based photo editing tools such as Clean Up, Reframe and Extend, and can suggest using Extend during lock-screen setup. Users can also launch Image Playground to create wallpapers from photos or text prompts.
