NHN said on Tuesday it held an internal technology-sharing event and shared workplace use cases for artificial intelligence (AI) agents to accelerate companywide AI transformation.

The event was held on July 2 at the Play Museum in its Pangyo office, under the name "Agentic Day", with about 600 employees from NHN, NHN Cloud and NHN Dooray attending. It was organised into presentations, demo booths and an AI tutorial zone to share outcomes and know-how that improved work efficiency.

In the keynote speech, Chief Technology Officer Cheol-woong Yang (양철웅) stressed the importance of connecting internal data and security. Yun-hee Kim (김윤희), director of the Game Convergence Lab, and NHN Cloud AI Development Center head Young-il Cho (조영일) introduced ways to improve data analysis efficiency using natural language and automate security vulnerability checks using AI. A demo version of an internal shared security vulnerability check service, unveiled for the first time that day, is set to be piloted at NHN Cloud and later expanded across the group.

Yang said, "An environment where AI safely connects all internal data and knowledge, and the security that supports it, are essential conditions for moving to the next stage." He added, "NHN will focus on improving security from the development stage by using AI as a tool, and will continue to provide customers with safer products and services."

NHN has also adopted U.S. company Anthropic's generative AI, Claude, across the company from July 1. It aims to expand AI services beyond developer-focused teams to all employees to boost work productivity regardless of job type.

NHN also runs an internal regular training programme, "AI School", and a dedicated office platform, "Playground". In March, it held an internal contest to produce AI-based results within a limited time and continues to support efforts to strengthen employees' technical capabilities.
