South Korea selects 52 national AI projects, government to provide 3,000 GPUs
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT approved a plan to select national artificial intelligence projects and provide government graphics processing unit resources. The programme links projects across ministries to drive nationwide AI innovation. Of 10,000 advanced GPUs secured in a 2025 supplementary budget, about 3,000 will be allocated to the selected projects. A total of 52 tasks from 25 agencies were chosen from 121 submissions by 28 agencies.

Ecopro HN develops large ammonia ship emissions cleaning system
Ecopro HN said it has secured a key technology for commercialising ammonia-powered ships after developing a megawatt-class ammonia engine emissions purification system with HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering and the Korean Register. It said the system uses microwave heating to directly heat the catalyst and precisely control activation temperature, helping minimise fuel consumption and avoid installing separate devices for fossil fuels. The company plans further verification and commercialisation.

Sh Suhyup Bank provides finance and economy training for MOF youth interns
Sh Suhyup Bank said on Feb. 19 it provided asset management training for youth interns at institutions nationwide under South Korea\'s Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries. The bank planned the course to help young people unfamiliar with finance build sound financial habits and develop asset management capabilities early. The training, held on Feb. 11 at the ministry\'s Busan headquarters, covered basic finance and economics, financial products, tax and tax-saving education and portfolio proposals.
