Sh Suhyup Bank said on Feb. 19 it provided "asset management training for people starting their careers" to youth interns at institutions nationwide under the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries.
As a bank specialising in oceans and fisheries, Suhyup Bank planned the training to help young people unfamiliar with finance build sound financial habits and develop asset management capabilities early.
The training was held on Feb. 11 at the ministry's Busan headquarters. An asset management expert delivered a lecture on basic finance and economics that people starting their careers need to know. The training focused on improving practical financial capabilities, including understanding financial products, tax and tax-saving education, and portfolio proposals.
A total of 42 interns at agencies under the ministry who applied in advance attended the training from across the country.
Suhyup Bank plans to use the training as a starting point to expand support for financial education across the oceans and fisheries sector. It also plans to broaden its role beyond being a policy finance partner and become a trusted comprehensive asset management institution.
A Suhyup Bank official said, "Supporting people starting their careers to take the first step in their financial lives successfully is very meaningful." The official added, "We will continue to support employees' planning for a stable future with a sense of responsibility as a bank specialising in oceans and fisheries."
