KB Kookmin Bank raises key deposit and savings rates by up to 0.3 percentage point

KB Kookmin Bank will raise interest rates on major deposit and savings products by up to 0.3 percentage point, reflecting the Bank of Korea’s base rate increase and rising market rates. Fixed deposit rates will rise by 0.2 to 0.3 percentage point from July 22, while fixed savings rates will increase from July 24. The one-year KB Star time deposit rate rises to 3.2 percent, and the general time deposit to 2.5 percent.

KB Kookmin Bank offers integrated search for dormant deposits, insurance payouts at 100 financial institutions

KB Kookmin Bank is running a campaign that allows customers to search at once for dormant deposits and insurance payouts held at about 100 domestic financial institutions and apply for refunds. The bank said the campaign will run through Aug. 31 to help consumers recover unclaimed financial assets. Refunds are paid into the customer’s KB Kookmin Bank account, and dormant deposits of 300,000 won or less are refunded automatically.
