[DigitalToday reporter Ji-young Lee] KB Kookmin Bank has teamed up with the Credit Guarantee Foundation Central Association to roll out a service that lets small merchants and sole proprietors handle everything from guarantee applications to loan disbursement remotely.
KB Kookmin Bank said on Monday it has launched a one-stop non-face-to-face guaranteed loan service by applying banking-as-a-service (BaaS) to the association’s integrated platform, the Bojeungdream app.
To mark the launch, KB Kookmin Bank will also run an event to support guarantee fees through Oct. 30.
During the event period, the bank will support 50 percent of the guarantee fee, up to 300,000 won, for customers who receive a guarantee certificate issued to KB Kookmin Bank through the Bojeungdream app, execute a loan and apply for the event in KB Star Corporate Banking.
Earlier, KB Kookmin Bank launched a non-face-to-face agent loan service with the Small Enterprise and Market Service. In June, it linked the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation’s mobile preferential guarantee to its banking app so customers can apply for loans without installing a separate app.
A KB Kookmin Bank official said, "We have put the service in place so small merchants and sole proprietors can receive financial support more conveniently when they need it."
