KB Kookmin Bank will waive overseas remittance fees to Nepal to support flood recovery in the country.
The bank said on Wednesday it will run a "Nepal overseas remittance support programme" through Oct. 30.
Individuals and corporate customers sending money to Nepal will have all overseas remittance fees waived regardless of purpose.
It will provide additional benefits for remittances of donations for flood recovery. It will waive both overseas remittance fees and cable charges and apply a 100 percent exchange rate discount. The programme will also be available through non-face-to-face channels such as KB Star Banking from the 11th.
A KB Kookmin Bank official said, "I hope the people of Nepal affected by the flood can return to their daily lives as soon as possible."
