KB Kookmin Bank is running a recommended book event with Kyobo Bookstore for senior customers. It will draw 100 winners from customers who newly sign up for an individual savings account (ISA) or make additional deposits above a set amount, and provide 2 books of their choice.

KB Kookmin Bank said on Sunday it will run the second recommended book event with Kyobo Bookstore through Aug. 31.

Eligible customers are those aged 50 and older who were born before 1976. They must newly join an ISA trust-type or discretionary-type product with at least 200,000 won, or add at least 1 million won in additional deposits, through a KB Kookmin Bank branch or KB Star Banking. Renewals upon maturity and account transfers from other institutions are also included as new sign-ups.

Participants can apply by selecting 2 books from 4 recommended titles on the event page in KB Star Banking. KB Kookmin Bank will draw 100 winners and provide the 2 selected books.

The recommended books were selected by a Kyobo Bookstore book curator under the theme of "health and rest". They include Lee Seung-hoon's "Good Inflammation, Bad Inflammation" on inflammation and health management, Jung Sun-geun's "Centennial Exercise" introducing sustainable exercise methods, Kim Young-ha's "A Life, Only Once" looking back on one's attitude and direction in life, and Shin Eun-kyung's "I Decided to Age Like This" on ways to proactively accept aging.

KB Kookmin Bank plans to continue collaborating with Kyobo Bookstore and expand cultural programs for seniors, including book concerts.

A KB Kookmin Bank official said, "We will continue to expand various services that cover not only finance but also culture and life care so that senior customers can enjoy a richer daily life."
