National Radio Research Agency to hold electromagnetic wave safety forum on Oct 29

South Korea\'s National Radio Research Agency under the Ministry of Science and ICT will hold the 14th Electromagnetic Wave Safety Forum on Oct. 29 at the Korea Press Center in Seoul. The event aims to address public questions about the health effects of electromagnetic waves in daily life and provide accurate information. It will focus on research results and policy trends marking 30 years of WHO studies.

Two South Korean experts win roles in APEC ICT steering groups to expand cooperation

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT said on Friday that two South Korean experts were elected to key posts in the operating groups under the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation telecommunications and information working group. Jang Ju-dong was elected secretary of the Conformance and Interoperability Steering Group, and Park Jung-eun was elected deputy secretary of the Digital Economy Steering Group. Their terms run for two years from 2027 to 2028.

Hancom targets U.S. small businesses with AI workforce platform

Hancom said it introduced its AI workforce platform, Nomadian, to local institutional investors during U.S. corporate briefings held in New York and Chicago in October. CEO Kim Yeon-su (김연수) and CTO Jung Ji-hwan (정지환) held one-on-one meetings and demonstrated the platform, the company said. Hancom plans to target U.S. businesses with fewer than 10 employees and solo entrepreneurs, aiming first at 5.21 million firms already using or paying for AI.
