Apple unveils Apple Watch Ultra 4 with up to 45-hour battery and top GPS

Apple unveiled the Apple Watch Ultra 4 for sports enthusiasts and explorers, featuring a new health sensing system and the S11 chip. It supports continuous health monitoring, more frequent heart-rate and heart-rate variability measurements and a new readiness score with tailored recommendations. Battery life rises to up to 50 hours in daily use and 84 hours in low power mode. Apple also added audio intelligence features, new finishes and bands, and detailed Korean pricing and availability.

Perplexity unveils \'Portable Computer\', steps up push for local AI agent platform

Perplexity unveiled “Portable Computer,” a local version of its AI agent platform “Computer,” VentureBeat reported on Aug. 25 local time. The product runs on Linux devices with Nvidia DGX Spark and RTX GPUs. Perplexity worked closely with Nvidia on development. Models, user files and outputs stay on-device, and local processing does not consume billing credits. Tasks start on-device and require user approval before moving to cloud frontier models.
