MetaMask has launched a non-custodial wallet for AI agents called Agent Wallet, The Block reported on Sunday.

The Agent Wallet supports autonomous trading in the Ethereum ecosystem, including swaps, perpetual futures, prediction markets and liquidity provision, the report said. It supports EVM chains and Hyperliquid. It is also compatible with major AI frameworks including OpenClaw, OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, Nous Research Hermes Agent and Cursor.

All transactions must go through mandatory simulation and are executed based on user-set daily spending limits and allowlists. Blockaid scans transactions to detect fraud and threats, and risky transactions or those outside user-defined criteria require two-factor authentication alerts or email approval.

Transactions deemed safe are compensated up to $10,000 through MetaMask Transaction Protection.

Consensys founder Joe Lubin (조 루빈) said, "As agents manage real capital and make real financial decisions, the infrastructure must be prepared accordingly."

MetaMask is running an early access program for a limited number of users via a command-line interface and plans a general release this summer. MetaMask has a 26 percent share of the wallet market.
