Samsung Electronics begins preorders for Galaxy Z8 and Watch Ultra2, Watch9

Samsung Electronics will begin preorders for its eighth-generation foldable smartphones and new smartwatches. The company said preorders for the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9 will run from July 28 to Aug. 3 at Samsung stores, Samsung.com and mobile carrier outlets. Official domestic release is Aug. 7, with early buyers able to receive and activate devices from Aug. 4.

Samsung Electronics will introduce a “Flip Youth Subscription” benefit aimed at easing the purchase burden for teens and people in their 20s buying the Galaxy Z8 Flip, guaranteeing up to 50 percent of the reference price after 2 years of use. The company said it will run an upgraded “New Galaxy AI Subscription Club” ahead of pre-orders for the Galaxy Z8 series, offering residual value guarantees, Samsung Care+ and accessory discounts, as well as cyber financial crime compensation.

Samsung unveils Galaxy Z8 foldables, including first Fold8 Ultra

Samsung Electronics unveiled three new foldable smartphones - the Galaxy Z Fold8, Fold8 Ultra and Flip8 - at its Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event in London. The company introduced a new display ratio for the Fold8 and launched its first ultra-premium foldable model. It also expanded agentic AI features across its foldables and announced new Galaxy Watch9 models and Intelligent Eyewear smart glasses. The Z8 series will roll out globally from Aug. 7.
