Toss Mobile, the telecoms unit of Viva Republica, has launched new MVNO plans that combine discounted mobile bills with coupons for the facial-recognition payment service FacePay. Prices start at 8,000 won a month for the first 7 months. From the second month after activation, customers receive FacePay coupons worth 2,000 won a month for up to 24 months, plus a one-time 10,000 won coupon after 4 months.

Viva Republica, the operator of South Korean fintech platform Toss, will introduce its facial-payment service, Facepay, at Mexicana chicken franchise stores nationwide. Toss said on July 31 it signed a business agreement with Mexicana and will roll out Facepay sequentially at about 700 outlets. The companies will install Toss Front payment terminals and expand face-authentication payments, with installations proceeding in application order.
