Apple unveils touchscreen MacBook, but macOS set to remain largely unchanged

Apple has unveiled its first touchscreen MacBook, but the overall way macOS is operated is not expected to change much. Rather than overhauling the operating system for touch use, Apple is keeping the existing interface and expanding touch functions mainly within individual apps. A key macOS-level change is the introduction of the iPhone’s Dynamic Island, enabling actions such as accepting AirDrop and pausing music via touch controls.

Google expands \'Gemini\' experiences for college students with pop-up store and career meetups

Google is expanding hands-on programs for college students and Generation Z using its AI model Gemini. It will run a pop-up store in Seoul from Oct. 30 to Nov. 1 in collaboration with the YouTube web variety show \"Jeongwaja\", offering campus-themed booths and Gemini features. Google will also hold student meetups in Busan, Daejeon and Seoul led by DeepMind staff. Proceeds from the pop-up will be donated to support tuition for low-income students.
