AI and data-based HR tech platform JobKorea, operated by Worksphere, said on Monday that its analysis of job postings published in the third quarter found a growing trend of companies specifying practical tools such as Claude and ChatGPT when requiring AI skills.

JobKorea said job postings that included AI tool keywords such as Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini rose 170 percent from a year earlier in the third quarter. Postings mentioning "AI" or "artificial intelligence" also rose, but postings that directly named tools increased much faster.

Moving beyond vague phrases such as "AI skills preferred", more postings are asking about specific tools that can be used immediately after joining a company, JobKorea said. By tool, postings with the keyword Claude rose 770 percent, the fastest increase. Gemini rose 500 percent, ChatGPT 165 percent, Copilot 96 percent and Midjourney 46 percent.

Among job postings with AI tool keywords, the share that specified Claude more than tripled to 55 percent this year from 17 percent last year.

Requirements for how to handle AI are also becoming more specific. Job postings with keywords related to ways of using AI, including generative AI, prompt engineering, AI agents and vibe coding, rose 235 percent from the third quarter a year earlier. Postings requiring skills to connect company data to AI or directly build AI services also increased. Many asked not only about experience using tools but also about how candidates can integrate AI into their work.

Demand for AI tool skills was not limited to developer roles. JobKorea said that a unit of a major conglomerate included the phrase "those who actively use AI tools (including ChatGPT)" in its preferred qualifications for marketing sales and operations job postings in the second half of this year.

Traditional qualification requirements showed a declining trend. Compared with last year, job postings with keywords for Microsoft Word fell 16 percent, computer proficiency fell 10 percent and Photoshop fell 9 percent, while Excel rose 10 percent, the analysis showed.

A JobKorea official said, "As generative AI becomes an everyday tool in workplaces, companies are looking beyond talent that knows AI to talent that can use specific AI tools in practical work," adding, "As JobKorea has also integrated AI technology throughout the hiring process, we will continue to provide a more sophisticated and efficient recruitment experience for both companies and job seekers through technological advancement."
