EVs can go farther than EPA-rated range as driving habits make the difference
Some EV owners say their real-world driving range exceeds estimates set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, depending on speed, acceleration, regenerative braking and temperature. Drivers of Ford\'s E-Transit van reported summer ranges of about 140 to 150 miles versus an EPA rating of 116 miles, even with cargo. The EPA says it adjusts lab results downward to reflect real conditions, using correction factors and a combined city-highway weighting to produce its standardised estimate.
