Softfreak supplies automated vulnerability diagnosis solution to Korea Institute of Medical Device Safety Information

API governance company Softfreak said on Tuesday it supplied its automated vulnerability diagnosis solution, F-Avata, to the Korea Institute of Medical Device Safety Information. The company said the tool automates vulnerability assessment procedures previously carried out by security experts, reducing repetitive checks and enabling integrated management of results and risk status. It can inspect vulnerabilities across servers, DBMS and network equipment, and provides causes, risk levels and mitigation measures.

Altibase, SherpaSoft cooperate on AI-based database technology

Altibase and SherpaSoft said on Wednesday they will cooperate on AI-based database management technology. The companies will link Altibase\'s hybrid DBMS with SherpaSoft\'s AI performance management solution, Sherpa AI, to jointly build an AI-based integrated database operations environment. They said this will support functions ranging from database performance analysis to SQL tuning. SherpaSoft said the solution supports both open and closed networks to maintain in-house security.

New book \'Architecture Evolves\' maps IT systems through an evolutionary lens

Publisher Insight has released a new book, \'Architecture Evolves,\' which explains IT system structures as an evolutionary process rather than a list of individual technologies. The book describes how systems differentiate into databases, middleware and application layers, then reconnect to form corporate information flows. In its final stage, it says cloud and AI expand systems into a new dimension. Author Sang-hwi Kong (공상휘) based the book on lectures he has repeated in training new hires.
