Cubrid targets public sector disaster recovery market with high availability features

Cubrid, a South Korean open-source DBMS specialist, is stepping up efforts to target the public-sector disaster recovery (DR) market by strengthening DR strategies based on high availability (HA). The company says it has added HA functions to its engine to support both database server availability and DR. It says the system supports redundancy within a data centre and lossless synchronous replication between remote DR centres, enabling recovery within seconds to minutes.

MSIT seeks organisations for digital infrastructure diagnosis programme

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT said on Wednesday it is recruiting organisations to join a digital infrastructure diagnosis and improvement programme to identify software defects in systems closely tied to daily life. The programme dispatches software experts from the Telecommunications Technology Association to visit institutions and companies and diagnose malfunctions and defects free of charge. Applicants can choose from six inspection areas. Applications are due by May 22, with up to 78 cases supported.

Xlog to supply CDC solution to Indonesia\'s BJB Bank

Xlog, a company specialising in real-time data replication and migration, said on Monday it will supply its change data capture solution, X-LOG for CDC, to Indonesia’s BJB Bank for a remote banking business intelligence system project. The project focuses on building a BI framework to integrate, analyse and visualise data from branch systems to assess business conditions. Xlog said it will collect and aggregate change data in real time and visualise it through a BI solution.
