Softfreak supplies automated vulnerability diagnosis solution to Korea Institute of Medical Device Safety Information

API governance company Softfreak said on Tuesday it supplied its automated vulnerability diagnosis solution, F-Avata, to the Korea Institute of Medical Device Safety Information.

The company said F-Avata automates vulnerability diagnosis procedures previously carried out by security experts. It reduces repetitive inspection tasks and supports integrated management of diagnosis results and risk status.

It conducts integrated checks of security vulnerabilities across various IT assets, including servers, DBMS (database management systems) and network equipment. It also provides the cause, risk level and mitigation measures for identified vulnerabilities, helping security managers understand the results and carry out follow-up actions.

It provides diagnostic items based on key security inspection standards used by domestic public institutions and companies, including vulnerability analysis and assessment criteria for key information and communications infrastructure and electronic financial infrastructure.

Softfreak CEO Dong-cheol Kim (김동철) said, "This supply is a meaningful case of applying F-Avata in the actual operating environment of a public institution." He added, "We will continue to strengthen product advancement and technical support so that institutions and companies can improve the efficiency of security inspection work and build a continuous vulnerability management system."
