Altibase, a domestic DBMS specialist, and SherpaSoft, a database performance management (DPM) specialist, said on Wednesday they will cooperate on AI-based database management technology.
The companies will link Altibase's hybrid DBMS with SherpaSoft's AI performance management solution, Sherpa AI, to jointly build an AI-based integrated database operations environment, from database performance analysis to SQL tuning.
Sherpa AI is a solution that applies generative AI across database operations. Through it, Altibase customers can build an intelligent database operations environment in which AI automatically analyzes database performance, diagnoses problems and suggests improvement measures.
SherpaSoft stressed that Sherpa AI supports both open networks and closed-network environments, allowing companies to use AI while maintaining in-house security without leaking information outside.
SherpaSoft executive director Kim Dae-hyun (김대현) said, "Through cooperation with Altibase, we will expand the scope of Sherpa AI and introduce to the market a differentiated AI database management solution that combines the two companies' technical capabilities."
