LG Uplus will expand customer benefits for the summer holiday season, including roaming, membership discounts, local tourism programmes and support for young customers. The company said it is strengthening everyday perks to ease customer burdens amid high prices and to raise the value of telecom services, as part of livelihood stabilisation measures discussed at a meeting between the science and technology deputy prime minister and executives of the three mobile carriers.

South Korea\'s three mobile carriers are starting preorders for Samsung Electronics\' new foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8 and Flip8, and are competing to attract customers with promotions. SK Telecom is running joint marketing with Netflix and offering membership perks and trade-in rewards. KT is promoting storage upgrades, online discounts and bundled plans. LG Uplus is centering its campaign on live commerce and offers service bundles, upgrades and trade-in support.
