KT has won grand prizes at the 2026 National Service Awards in the telecom membership and small business store management solution categories and is holding a customer participation event.
KT said on June 30 that KT Membership won the grand prize in the telecom membership category, while the small business platform Sajaegiji won the grand prize in the small business store management solution category.
The National Service Awards are hosted by the Korea Industrial Policy Institute and sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, among others. KT Membership was recognised for raising customer satisfaction through a range of partner benefits, tailored services and programmes to boost membership usage.
Sajaegiji is an integrated platform for small business owners that offers in a single application functions needed to run a store, including sales analysis, attendance management and start-up information, along with KT's store solutions. It provides features such as AI-based promotional image creation, store-tailored music recommendations and business coaching. It secured 100,000 subscribers within a year of its launch.
To mark the awards, KT will run a "Taste Balance Game" event in which customers choose the benefits and brands they prefer. Customer selections will be reflected in future membership benefit planning.
All customers who take part in the event will receive a Daiso gift certificate or dining discount coupons, among other items. Some customers will receive premium accommodation vouchers through a draw. The event will run on the KT Membership app from July 2 to 14.
KT will also run a summer customer rewards programme from July 1 to 15. Customers of all membership tiers can choose between a 50 percent discount at Baskin Robbins and a 5,000 won discount at Shopping Lounge. Under its "Daldal Benefits" programme, it has prepared benefits for Paul Bassett, Crystal Jade The Kitchen Il Forno, Vips, Domino's Pizza and MegaMGC Coffee, among others.
Kang Yi-hwan (강이환), head of KT's Customer Service Division and an executive director, said, "KT Membership continues to advance its benefits based on customer participation." He added, "We will raise the value customers feel by reflecting customer choices and opinions in actual services."
