[DigitalToday reporter Ji-young Lee] Shinhan Bank is holding an event for customers who newly issue travel-focused debit cards and make domestic and overseas payments for the summer vacation season. Depending on the card type and usage conditions, it will provide gift vouchers and up to 1 million My Shinhan Points through a draw.

Shinhan Bank said on Thursday it will sequentially run the "Up to 1 million won in benefits! SOL Trip & J Check ALL READY event" and the "Departure prep complete! Get benefits three times SOL Travel·SOL Trip & Shop Check summer event" through Sept. 12.

For customers of the Japan-focused travel card "SOL Trip & J Check Card," it will provide a 5,000 won Daiso gift voucher to 2,000 customers who newly issue the card through Sept. 12. It will give a Baskin Robbins pint gift voucher to 1,000 customers who make payments of at least 10,000 won in Korea.

For customers who make overseas payments of at least 10,000 won, it will provide 1 million My Shinhan Points to 3 people and a 10,000 won CU gift voucher to 1,000 people through a draw.

For SOL Travel Check Card and SOL Trip & Shop Check Card customers, it will provide a 5,000 won Olive Young gift voucher to 2,000 customers who hold both cards from July 30 through Sept. 12.

Among customers who pay at least 5,000 won at overseas online merchants with the SOL Trip & Shop Check Card, 2,000 will receive 5,000 My Shinhan Points. Among customers who pay at least 5,000 won at overseas offline merchants with the SOL Travel Check Card, 2,000 will receive a 5,000 won CU gift voucher.

A Shinhan Bank official said, "We prepared this to provide benefits that customers can feel during the travel process for the summer vacation season."

Shinhan Bank will also offer a service from July 30 allowing customers to directly transfer foreign currency held in the "Foreign Currency Change-Up Deposit" to a "SOL Travel foreign currency deposit."
