Stellantis, Factorial begin first solid-state battery road test in North America
Stellantis and solid-state battery developer Factorial Energy have begun the first on-road test of a solid-state electric vehicle battery in North America. The companies are using a Dodge Charger Daytona development vehicle equipped with Factorial\'s FEST cells. They said the test is the first to integrate a solid-state battery into a North American EV platform for validation in real road conditions. Factorial recently listed on Nasdaq under the symbol FAC.

Tesla has delayed plans to unveil its next-generation Roadster again, pushing the schedule to after August as development linked to SpaceX thruster technology takes longer than expected. The company is also pursuing sensor reliability, including a patent for a camera system that cleans its own lens. Debate continues over the safety of unsupervised driving and compensation for self-driving accidents, as rivals such as BYD, XPeng and Rivian accelerate development and responsibility frameworks.

Solid-state battery maker Factorial begins trading on Nasdaq, eyes aviation, defense and robotics
U.S. solid-state battery company Factorial Energy has completed its Nasdaq listing and plans to expand commercialization and production of next-generation batteries. It began trading after merging with SPAC Cartesian Growth Corp III, with ticker symbols FAC and FACWW. The deal values the company at about $1.3 billion and raised about $110 million. Factorial plans to invest beyond EVs into defense, aerospace, hyperscale data centers and robotics.
