Telecoms industry opposes no-fault compensation for voice phishing losses

South Korea\'s telecommunications industry has pushed back against discussions on extending no-fault compensation for voice phishing losses to telecom carriers. The Korea Telecommunications Operators Association said carriers do not manage financial transactions and are restricted from arbitrarily listening to or checking call and text content. It said telecom networks are a channel for information, while transfers and withdrawals occur within the financial system. It cited overseas examples and said carriers will keep strengthening prevention efforts with the government and finance sector.

Cardano could jump 700 percent; why an analyst sees a $2 scenario

Market analyst Lark Davis forecasts that ADA could regain $1 and, over the longer term, rise to $1.50 to $2, citing the Cardano community’s cohesion and social influence. He says ADA’s price can move sharply with sustained community interest, regardless of current network usage metrics. ADA trades around $0.242. Davis does not give a timeline and has previously criticised Cardano’s activity, fees and DeFi adoption compared with other networks.

Theori to deploy hacking simulation platform in DARPA AI communications app security project

Offensive cybersecurity firm Theori said on Tuesday it was selected as a research performer for the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s project on autonomous AI application security. The company said its AI-based autonomous hacking simulation platform, Xint, will be used to conduct detailed analysis of in-house and open-source messenger applications used across the U.S. Defense Department. Theori said Xint found three vulnerabilities in Signal’s Android version within an hour.
