OneStore is expanding eligibility to register games made using AI to all developers and strengthening a system to support distribution through monetisation.

OneStore said on Sept. 29 it will open its AI game section, "AI Games", launched in August, to all developers and accept registrations of AI-made games through its developer centre, "One Console".

Any developer who made a game using AI tools can register a title on One Console. If a developer marks it as an AI-enabled game during registration, it will be included among titles introduced in the AI game menu.

OneStore plans to prioritise exposure to users for titles with a high level of completeness. It will support web games (HTML5) that can be played without installation first. Developers can link the OneStore web game software development kit (SDK) to apply in-app purchases and in-app advertising.

It will also improve service accessibility. In early next month, it will revamp the existing "AI Games" into "AI Game" and place it permanently in the bottom menu of the OneStore app. Users will be able to move directly to the menu from any screen in the app.

The AI game menu will offer titles directly registered by external developers, along with games from Bus8, which has participated in curation since August.

OneStore sees generative AI spreading as lowering barriers to entry for game production by individuals and small developers, and plans to expand channels that connect distribution and monetisation.

OneStore CEO Jang Hyun-kook (장현국) said, "With the advancement of AI models, a variety of AI games are emerging rapidly." He added, "OneStore will reflect these changes and establish itself as a mobile distribution platform for AI games."

OneStore plans to gradually expand the AI game service region overseas, starting in South Korea.
