Meta has expanded the user base for its AI agent Muse beyond individual users to small businesses. TechCrunch reported on Sept. 29 that Meta unveiled "Muse for Small Business," which links Muse with Shopify, Dropbox and Slack.
The company said the service is focused on helping business owners run their companies and acquire new customers. Meta aims to connect Muse with existing software used for sales, operations and marketing so it can reflect more context across business operations than a single chatbot.
Muse also links with Instagram professional account analytics, Facebook Pages and Meta ad accounts. Meta said Muse can identify products a business sells, a brand's tone of voice and questions customers frequently ask.
Additional integrations include Asana, Box, Canva, Figma, Granola, HighLevel, Intuit QuickBooks, Klaviyo, Lovable, Notion, Stripe and Zoom. "Muse for Small Business" will be offered as a free service with usage limits. Businesses that want to use it beyond those limits can use a subscription pricing plan.
Meta previously unveiled a "Meta Enterprise Platform" aimed at corporate and legal-entity customers. The business is focused on providing its technology stack to companies and developers, including Muse, Meta Business Agent, Muse API and Muse Code.
Meta has hired Chirantan "CJ" Desai (치란탄 'CJ' 데사이), former chief executive of MongoDB, as head of the new business. Meta said Muse, released earlier this month, has surpassed ChatGPT on app charts in the United States and Canada.
