KT posts Q2 consolidated revenue of 6.68 trillion won, operating profit of 648.3 billion won; AX business up 22.3 percent

KT reported second-quarter consolidated revenue of 6.68 trillion won and operating profit of 648.3 billion won under K-IFRS. Revenue fell 10.1 percent and operating profit slid 36.1 percent from a year earlier. KT said profit was hurt by base effects from one-off gains last year, but improved from the first quarter on growth businesses such as data centres and real estate and stronger performance at content units.

LG Uplus posts record Q2 operating profit, says enterprise infrastructure drove gains

LG Uplus said it posted a record quarterly operating profit in the second quarter, helped by growth in its AI data centre business and cost efficiency. Revenue fell 3.9 percent from a year earlier, but service revenue rose 2 percent and operating profit climbed 13.1 percent. The company said enterprise infrastructure revenue increased, including AI data centre sales. Mobile and smart home revenue also rose, and it announced additional share buybacks and a higher interim dividend.

Naver discusses AI infrastructure cooperation with Brazil and Chile

Naver said on Monday it met key companies and government agencies in major South American countries including Brazil and Chile to discuss working-level cooperation on entering the artificial intelligence infrastructure market. It held relay meetings in Brazil with data centre operators Scala Data Centers and Tecto Data Centers, and discussed SaaS distribution, smart cities and GPU cluster projects with Chile’s Entel. It also introduced public AI solution infrastructure to Chilean officials.
