KT partners with Human Resources Development Service of Korea to train AI talent
KT said it will work with the Human Resources Development Service of Korea to foster AI-based talent and strengthen digital innovation in the public sector. The companies signed a memorandum of understanding on Aug. 4 to operate KT’s AICE training programme and bolster AI and data skills among the agency’s staff. They also plan to expand AI use across key projects and jointly identify new AI transformation tasks.

KT to distribute AIDU AI training app for free
KT said on Tuesday it will distribute for free an installable application version of its artificial intelligence training tool, AIDU. The tool is designed for non-majors unfamiliar with coding and was developed for AI training for the company’s office workers. KT said users can perform the full AI modelling process, from data analysis to training and evaluating AI models, through mouse clicks without separate coding. It also plans updates to improve functionality and performance.

KT, KOSA cooperate to advance AI certification and expand workforce training
KT said on March 19 it signed an agreement with the Korea AI & Software Industry Association (KOSA) to strengthen AI capabilities nationwide and expand business related to AICE, an AI skills certification. KT and KOSA plan to set up a question-review committee of industry and academic experts to improve the professionalism and objectivity of the exam and upgrade the evaluation system to reflect technology trends and industrial demand. They also plan to expand cooperation on practical AI training for workers.
