KT said on Aug. 23 it held the "AI Future Camp with KT and the Seoul city government" on Aug. 22 at the Seoul Robot AI Science Museum in Dobong district, Seoul, for 100 elementary school students, together with the Seoul city government, the museum and the Seoul Dobong Police Station.

The camp was designed to let children experience AI technology and ethics. Participating students were split into four groups of 25 and took part in five programs. At KT's mobile AI experiential education center, called AI Station, students tried AI technology and ethics. They also learned AI principles through AICE Future, a block-coding class linked to the AICE AI qualification test.

At the Seoul Robot AI Science Museum, students joined an exhibition tour titled "Thinking Robots and Questioning Humans" and took part in a program called "Picabot Art Museum," which uses a robotic arm to draw pictures. They also learned digital safety rules through an "AI crime-prevention education" session run by the Seoul Dobong Police Station.

KT has expanded AI and digital ethics civic education for elementary and middle school students with education offices and local governments nationwide since 2023. About 170,000 people had taken part cumulatively by 2025. It also runs AI Station and AICE-based outreach education to reduce gaps in AI education in remote and island regions.

Jung-woo Lee (이정우), a managing director in charge of KT's ESG promotion, said, "In the AI era, a mindset to use technology responsibly is as important as the ability to handle it." He added, "I hope this camp will serve as an opportunity for children to learn AI technology and ethics together and grow into future talent."
