KT said on March 19 it signed a business agreement with the Korea AI & Software Industry Association (KOSA) to strengthen AI capabilities nationwide and expand business related to AICE (AI Certificate for Everyone).

KOSA has about 14,000 member companies and plays a leading role in South Korea’s artificial intelligence and software industries. KT plans to work with KOSA to form a question-review committee made up of industry and academic experts to strengthen the expertise and objectivity of the AI competency certification exam. It also plans to improve the evaluation system, including questions that reflect the latest technology trends and industrial demand.

The two will also strengthen cooperation on practical AI capability training for people in work. They plan to support companies in improving competitiveness in using AI by jointly designing an industry-demand-based curriculum and operating on-site tailored training programmes. They will also use KOSA’s industry network to conduct online and offline promotional activities for member companies and push to expand AICE.

Young-sim Jin (진영심), executive director in charge of KT’s education business cooperation, said the agreement with KOSA, South Korea’s top AI expert group, would help advance the quality of the AICE qualification exam and its industrial linkages. She said KT would work with KOSA to deliver tangible results under the goal of contributing to strengthening AI capabilities nationwide.
