LG Display says WOLED cumulative sales top 50 million units

LG Display said on Oct. 28 that cumulative sales of its large OLED panels have surpassed 50 million units. The tally covers WOLED panels. The company said it began selling large OLED TV panels in 2013 and expanded its market from TVs to monitors. It said sales first topped 10 million units in 2020 and then exceeded 20 million in 2021, 30 million in 2023 and 40 million in 2025, reaching 50 million this time.

Naver starts ticket sales for The Six, first event at Naver Arena

Naver said on Oct. 27 it has begun ticket reservations for the women’s tennis tournament “Naver x Hyundai Card The Six,” to be held in December at Naver Arena on Yeongjong Island in Incheon. The event runs from Dec. 25 to 27 and is the first to take place at the venue since Naver signed a naming-rights deal with Inspire Resort. The total prize money is $1.1 million.

Nvidia enters Windows laptop market with RTX Spark launch

Nvidia has entered the Windows laptop market with RTX Spark laptops built around a superchip combining a Blackwell RTX GPU and a Grace CPU, it said on Oct. 16. Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft and MSI will offer nine models, with sales starting on Oct. 16 local time and prices from $2,599. The chip supports up to 128GB unified memory and 1 petaflop of AI performance under FP4.
