NOL opens ticket category, waives booking fees in January
NOL, a comprehensive leisure platform operated by NOL Universe, launched a new 'NOL Ticket' category on Jan. 9. Users can book tickets for concerts, musicals, exhibitions and events, theatre, classical and dance, and children and family performances through the NOL app. The company plans to expand regional ticket curation and NOL-exclusive products. To mark the launch, it will waive booking fees throughout January and offer discounts and tailored promotions.

Wall Street ends mixed; Alphabet nears $4 trillion market cap
Wall Street’s three main indexes ended mixed on Jan. 8, with the Dow rising while the Nasdaq fell. Investors sold AI and semiconductor shares and rotated into blue chips and cyclical stocks. The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index declined, led by falls in Nvidia and other large chipmakers. Alphabet climbed 1 percent, widening its lead over Apple and nearing a $4 trillion market cap. Defense stocks gained after Donald Trump called for higher U.S. defense spending. Markets now await Friday’s December nonfarm payrolls report.

Wadiz runs planning exhibition on first-half 2026 trends based on funding data
Wadiz said on Jan. 9 it will run a planning exhibition, '2026 Trend Maker', through Jan. 14 to preview trends for the first half of 2026. The exhibition aims to introduce innovative products expected to attract market attention, using funding data. About 150 projects are taking part, centered on ultralight tech and personalized beauty. Wadiz said the exhibition is based on a trend report drawn from analysis of about 12,000 projects in 2025.
