SK Broadband said on Monday it signed a business agreement with the Seoul Fire and Disaster Headquarters to strengthen fire prevention and disaster preparedness and to spread a public safety culture.

SKB will use IPTV and regional channels to provide rapid, tailored guidance when disasters such as fires occur. It will plan a range of programming to convey the importance of fire safety and various policies. It will also produce customer-friendly safety education webtoons and fee guides using the two sides' characters.

It also decided to quickly deliver disaster-prevention information closely tied to daily life for public safety through IPTV infrastructure.
In particular, the two sides will work with fire stations under the Seoul city government's jurisdiction to pursue joint drills tailored to various scenarios. SKB will also take part in Seoul Safe Plaza, which has become a leading domestic safety culture festival, to broaden contact with citizens and spread messages.
