KRX recommends Kim Woo-chan as Kosdaq market committee chair candidate

The Korea Exchange said its Kosdaq Market Committee has recommended Kim Woo-chan, a professor at Korea University Business School, as candidate chair of the Kosdaq Market Committee. Kim is expected to be appointed at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders on July 6. The exchange said Kim has expertise in finance and corporate governance and has held roles at governance and reform institutes. He has also worked in government and academia and holds Harvard degrees.

NH NongHyup Bank productive finance support tops 8.5 trillion won

NH NongHyup Bank said its productive finance support reached 8.54 trillion won as of May 22, meeting 67.6 percent of its annual target. The bank reviewed progress and discussed second-half priorities at its second productive finance steering committee meeting on May 28. It shared plans for advanced strategic industries, region-specific industries, technology finance, the National Growth Fund and venture capital equity investments. It also discussed collaboration strategies based on department ideas.

Park In-kyu meets drafters of 6th science and technology master plan

Park In-kyu (박인규), head of the Ministry of Science and ICT’s science and technology innovation office, met members drafting the sixth basic plan for science and technology covering 2026 to 2030 on Monday and shared key policy directions. The ministry said it prepared a draft plan after appointing about 90 experts and holding committee and subcommittee meetings and on-site sessions. The draft will undergo a public hearing on May 28 before final approval in June.
