Hanwha Q Cells wins safety certification for three tandem mass-production labs
Three laboratories at Hanwha Q Cells\' Renewable Energy Research Center have received new certification as excellent safety management labs. Hanwha Q Cells said on Oct. 26 that its process development, materials development and analysis labs at the Pangyo R&D Center obtained the certification, and all labs participating for the first time passed. The programme, run by the Ministry of Science and ICT, evaluates safety systems, activities and researchers’ safety awareness.

Hanwha Solutions is focusing on embedding AI transformation at an organisational level rather than individual use, an executive said on Thursday. The company initially targeted automation and personal productivity, but now links AI to organisational goals and harder problems across its core business and value chain. It routes all AI calls through an AWS account-based LLM gateway to Amazon Bedrock to keep logs and manage usage, and says governance is essential to scale.

Tesla Megapack supply sold out through 2027, production ramp speeds up
Most of Tesla\'s 2027 supply of its large energy storage system Megapack has been taken up, as demand rises, driven mainly by growth in AI data centres. The International Energy Agency expects global data centre power use to nearly double by 2030. Tesla has started production at its Texas Megapack plant and is strengthening its U.S. battery sourcing by shipping its first Megapack made only with LFP cells produced in Nevada.
