AhnLab joins South Korea\'s 2026 K-Export Star 500 programme
AhnLab said on April 28 it has been selected for the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s 2026 K-Export Star 500 programme. The programme aims to foster 500 export-leading companies over the next five years by selecting promising firms with global competitiveness and supporting overseas expansion and export growth. AhnLab said its overseas growth strategy and localisation-based operations, as well as its product lineup, were evaluated positively.

Huawei to spend up to 80 billion yuan on self-driving computing over five years
Huawei will invest up to 80 billion yuan over the next five years to expand computing capacity needed to train and test self-driving cars. The spending aims to improve reliability of vehicles using its Qiankun ADS advanced driver-assistance system and to add more customers. An executive said Huawei plans to allocate 18 billion yuan to autonomous driving R&D in 2026. Qiankun ADS has surpassed 10 billion km in cumulative autonomous driving distance.

Elice Group secures four patents for modular data centres
Elice Group said on Thursday it had secured four patents for core technologies related to AI portable modular data centres. The patents cover a server rack moving device and operating method for modular data centres, a fire management system and operating method, an air-cooled cooling system and operating method, and a water-cooled cooling system and operating method for server racks. The company said some technologies are already applied to real infrastructure.
