Apple launches iPhone leasing program from $17.99 a month

Apple has launched a new leasing programme in the United States that lets customers use iPhones, Macs, iPads and Apple Watches by paying a fixed monthly fee instead of buying them. Apple said it is starting “Apple Upgrade” with buy now, pay later provider Klarna. The plan offers different contract terms by product and model, with higher monthly payments for shorter terms or larger storage. Users can return devices at the end or keep them by paying the remaining cost, and fees may apply for damage or changes.

iPadOS 27 ends support for five older iPad models, excluding A12 and A12X devices

Apple will end support in iPadOS 27 for five iPad models using A12 or A12X chips, including the iPad (8th generation) and several iPad Pro, Air and mini models. The move differs from iOS 27, which will keep supporting all iPhones supported by iOS 26.
