Wemade Max shifts to sole CEO Son Myeon-seok, reorganises around five key studios

Wemade Max said on March 24 it will switch to a sole CEO structure under Son Myeon-seok and reorganise around five key studios. The company said the move aims to strengthen execution of its 2026 global portfolio strategy and speed decision-making on key intellectual property and strategic projects. Co-CEO Lee Gil-hyeong will remain on the board and focus on subsidiary Lightcon. Wemade Next CEO Park Jung-soo will resign, with Seong Jeong-guk appointed as successor.

Wemade Connect signs publishing deal for subculture title \'Make Drama: MAD\'

Wemade Max said on Tuesday its subsidiary Wemade Connect signed a publishing contract with partner Fluffy Duck for the mobile subculture RPG \'Make Drama: MAD\'. Fluffy Duck will develop the game, while Wemade Connect will handle overall service and operations. The game will run a closed beta test on OneStore from March 12 to 16. After the test, a separate survey will be held and selected participants will receive 10,000 OneStore points.

Wemade Max opens \'Lost Sword\' offline cafe with Mofun collaboration

Wemade Max said on Thursday that its subsidiary Wemade Connect and developer Codecat will operate a collaboration cafe for the subculture mobile game \'Lost Sword\' with subculture specialty brand Mofun. The bunny-girl-themed cafe is designed to let users experience the game and its characters offline. It will run from Feb. 27 to March 15 at Mofun’s Seogyo branch in Seoul, open daily from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. without reservations.
