Apple iOS 27 to drop support for older devices including iPhone 11
As Apple nears the release of its next operating system, iOS 27, expectations have emerged that older devices including the iPhone 11 series will be excluded in large numbers. NineToFiveMac reported a list of officially supported models, citing IT source Instant Digital. The report said four models that support iOS 26 could be dropped. If confirmed, the minimum requirement would rise to the iPhone 12 series and iPhone SE third generation or later.

Apple AI chief John Giannandrea to leave, did Siri play a role
Apple Senior Vice President John Giannandrea, who has overseen the company’s machine learning and AI strategy, is expected to leave the company this week, PhoneArena reported. His departure is linked to the vesting of Apple stock awards scheduled for April 15, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman wrote. Gurman said Apple Intelligence’s weak performance was not necessarily Giannandrea’s fault, citing limits on authority for external hires and an initially cautious stance on AI within Apple’s leadership.
