Nio F2 plant named global lighthouse factory for AI-controlled production
Nio’s F2 plant has been added to the World Economic Forum’s Global Lighthouse Network of factories recognised for manufacturing innovation, Cleantechnica reported. The WEF said Nio linked in-vehicle AI, a battery-swap network and a digital twin platform into a real-time closed-loop system designed to manage more than 3.6 million vehicle combinations. Nio cut time to launch by 44 percent and automated 90 percent of R&D work, it said.

AI infrastructure company Vesl AI said on Tuesday it was selected for the World Economic Forum\'s Technology Pioneer 2026 list. The programme annually selects 100 technology companies expected to have long-term impact on society and industry.
