AI infrastructure company Vesl AI said on Tuesday it was selected for the World Economic Forum (WEF) Technology Pioneer 2026 list.

Technology Pioneers is a WEF programme that selects 100 innovative technology companies each year expected to have long-term impact on society and industry. Google, PayPal and Airbnb were among early selections, and the programme marks its 26th anniversary this year. Selected companies take part for 2 years as official members of the WEF innovators ecosystem and gain opportunities to attend major global events such as the Davos Forum.

Vesl AI was also selected last year for Korea Frontier, which is jointly run by the Gyeonggi-do 4th Industrial Revolution Center and the WEF.

Chief executive Jae-man Ahn (안재만) plans to attend WEF-related events to be held in Dalian and Shanghai, China, from June 23 to 25 to seek to expand global partnerships.

Ahn said being named a Technology Pioneer was official recognition on the global stage of Vesl AI's GPU cloud-based fluid computing technology. He said the company would contribute to boosting the international competitiveness of South Korea's AI infrastructure technology through exchanges within the WEF innovators ecosystem.
