NC AI joins K-New Deal Academy to train talent using VARCO

NC AI said on Sunday it will join the government-led K-New Deal Academy programme to foster young talent seeking to enter games and AI content. It plans to help non-majors and long-term unemployed youths build skills in generative AI and become self-reliant in the game creation ecosystem. The company will recruit 150 trainees in Busan, Daejeon and Gwangju for a 500-hour course offered free of charge and provide access to its VARCO platform.

NC AI, MBC picked for government AX one-stop voucher media project

NC AI said on Monday it formed a consortium with MBC, NHN Cloud and DataMaker and was selected for a media-sector task under the Ministry of Science and ICT and NIPA-led AI Transformation (AX) One-Stop Voucher program. The project supports firms with integrated vouchers for AI solutions, cloud and data. The consortium plans to build a media ontology and develop a SaaS platform supporting post-production, including AI editing, multilingual dubbing and audio description.

Stanford AI Index to correct South Korea\'s notable model count to 8

South Korea’s tally of notable AI models released in 2025 in Stanford University’s AI Index 2026 report will be corrected to 8 from 5, the Ministry of Science and ICT said on Wednesday. The ministry said Stanford’s Human-Centered AI Institute omitted some models and would make the correction after the ministry requested additional verification. The revised list includes models from Upstage, LG AI Research, NC AI, SK Telecom and Naver Cloud.
