NC AI said on Jan. 29 it has unveiled a beta service for Varco Sound, a generative AI-based sound production solution.
Varco Sound is a multimodal AI service that analyzes text and image and video prompts to create sounds optimized for content. When a user enters text such as "the sound of water droplets inside a cave" or uploads a video, it analyzes the context and automatically creates sound assets.
The service is characterized by providing generated audio in multitrack form. Unlike existing single-audio generation methods, it creates sounds by separating the components into individual tracks. Users can do detailed work in post-editing, such as adjusting the volume of a specific sound or replacing elements.
It also includes a variation feature. It is a technology that generates diverse sounds based on a sample uploaded by the user while maintaining its unique texture. Creators can quickly test different versions and shorten prototyping time.
The service can be used on its website with email verification, without separate installation. Pricing is operated as a package combined with Varco 3D, a 3D generative AI service. It consists of a Plus plan at 22,000 won a month and a Premium plan at 110,000 won a month, and new subscribers receive free credits.
NC AI aims to officially launch the service in the first half of the year by reflecting feedback during the beta period. It also plans to develop plugins for game engines such as Unity and Unreal Engine, as well as plugins for professional audio editing software.
NC AI CEO Lee Yeon-su (이연수) said, "Varco Sound is a technology that turns sounds in the imagination into assets that can be produced immediately," adding, "We will expand it into a platform that leads the global content production market."
