Indiana bitcoin payments spread as merchants hold BTC instead of dollars

About 200 businesses in Indiana accept bitcoin payments, ranging from coffee shops and restaurants to auto repair shops, cinemas, farms and bookstores, based on BTC Map data cited by Bitcoin Magazine. Some merchants are beginning to keep bitcoin received from customers instead of converting it into dollars. Old Major Market in Indianapolis said it will hold all bitcoin payments from this year after more than a year of local customers buying products with BTC.

Singapore sovereign wealth fund Temasek warns AI investment pullback could trigger market shock in 2027

Singapore sovereign wealth fund Temasek sees the biggest current market risk as a possible pullback in investment flows into artificial intelligence, CNBC reported. Temasek Chief Investment Officer Rohit Sipahimalani (로힛 시파히말라니) said a reversal could trigger a market shock, while not expecting it to materialise immediately. He said volatility could emerge in 2027. Temasek remains optimistic on AI long term and aims to raise the share of listed assets within its AI exposure.

Coinbase to revive Coinbase Pro by year-end, launch Global Exchange platform with Deribit

Coinbase will bring back Coinbase Pro by year-end and will also complete its integration with Deribit under a platform called Coinbase Global Exchange, The Block reported. The revamped Coinbase Pro will offer trading in spot, futures, perpetual futures, options and stocks, alongside faster order routing and advanced tools for high-volume traders. Coinbase said it will connect qualified U.S. customers to overseas crypto derivatives markets via its U.S.-regulated futures brokerage subsidiary.
